Dental Implant

A typical implant are simply small titanium cylinders placed into the jawbone to support replacement teeth. These titanium dental implants fuse with your bone and provide a permanent anchorage for a prosthetic reconstruction which looks and feels like a natural tooth.

placement of dental implants, there is a healing period of four to six months to allow for the fusion of the implant to the bone.During this time, the patient is provided with temporary false teeth, either in the form of an adhesive bridge or dentures. Due to their stable fit, implant-supported tooth replacements provide a much better chewing capacity than common removable replacements and transmit the chewing forces to the jawbone. Contrary to bridges, this almost physiological strain can prevent bone resorption.

Implant can be given for

  • Replacement of single tooth
  • Replacement of multiple teeth
  • Fixed complete denture

  • In case individual teeth are missing, an implant can replace a bridge because it does not require the support of the neighbouring teeth. Valuable intact tooth substance does not have to be ground down and can be preserved in the long term.

Implantsare also suited for patients with partial prostheses that have a bad fit due to unfavourable conditions.
